To comply and understand all relevant standards, responsibilities and duties whilst working on or near the rail line. Identifying the railway environment, track terminology and tools. State dangers on or near the line. Understand working procedures. Fully understand the Drugs & Alcohol regulations. Carry out emergency actions. Identify components & dangers of AC and DC Lines. Understand Security policy. Identify Ballast formation / drainage procedures. Indentify track construction and components. Demonstrate safe use of tools and equipment. Understand maintenance procedures. Suitable for: Any individual who is used to or prepared to work in a Safety Critical Environment. Typically from the age of 18 as there are various working restrictions on younger workers - but this is still an option if you are 17. The programme has been particulary useful for Construction or associated workers, as many of the skills sets and the factors of working outdoors already exist.

• A valid medical certificate that meets the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124
• A Valid Drugs and Alcohol Screening indicating a negative result that meets requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051
• A high visibility vest and trousers, blue safety helmet, suitable outdoor clothing and safety footwear with mid-sole protection are required on this event
• NCCA site ID and address of sponsoring organisation.
• Proof of your identity
• 1 passport size colour photograph with a white background

The 10 day Track Induction Course is the more detailed and comprehensive programme including the compulsary 2 day Personal Track Safety certificate.
