Summary
You will be working in a realistic working environment treating clients to a commercial standard. The methods of study are open learning packages and practical salon workshops.
About the Course
This course will enable the student to provide therapy using reflexology techniques on the feet. Anatomy and physiology of all the body systems is taught alongside this qualification, so that a safe and effective treatment can take place. Some students may need to study for the Working in the Beauty Industry Unit if they are not currently employed in the hair or beauty sector, or have a current Health & Safety qualification. You will be required to carry out case studies to support your knowledge and understanding, and the majority of these will be carried out in your own time.

What are the entry requirements?
How is the course assessed?
You will undertake a series of practical assessments through observation by a qualified assessor. You will also be required to produce a portfolio comprising of assignments and undertake an online multiple choice exam

Are there any resources to obtain?
Plain white tunic (order forms available from college if required), black trousers or skirt, and flat, low-heeled fully enclosed shoes. Male students are permitted to wear a black or white polo top. Access to a computer in your own time is advisable.

Are there any other costs?
£20 for consumables used while on the course.

The course will take place in the department's purpose built facility at the college.
