What I would highlight: Yes, I got lots out of it and think others will too.

The tutor and staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed. It was a great venue and most of all I loved learning to make the wire wrapped pieces. In just one day we covered rings, pendants and earrings. I had done some beading before but wire wrapping is quite a different technique and I now feel that I can do so much more with my jewellery making. Oh and the biscuits are lovely too!
Yes. The London Jewellery School is a great place to learn, it has a great atmosphere, the tutor was excellent and their classes are very good value for money.

I have also done a beginners beading class here and in that class I made 7 pieces in one day. I have been to other jewellery classes but found this school to be the best in terms of value for money, teachers experience whilst also being fun. One of the best things is the class sizes there are a maximum of 7 per class which meant we could all have one-on-one time with the tutor.
What could be improved: Nothing - It was all fab!

If I had to choose something it would be going home - I wanted to stay and make jewellery forever, I am definitely hooked!

What I would highlight: I had been looking for a wire wrapping class like this for ages, it was great! The pieces are quite complex but the tutor was very patient and good at explaining and demonstrating all of the techniques. By the end of the day we all had made 3 pieces and I was really excited to continue at home. The class size was nice and small so we each got lots of one-on-one advice. The school was lovely and the staff very friendly and I will be back soon! - Highly Recommended!

Course programme

** PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS RUNS FROM 6.30-9PM FOR FIVE WEEKS IN A ROW, ONE EVENING A WEEK***

This is a great class where you have 5 weeks to experiment with this fantastic material, Resin.

You will have a chance to make a whole range of pieces including, rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendents, earrings etc.. almost anything you can think of. Resin is a fantastic material to work with particularly in this current climate, as it is very affordable and so versatile.

Techniques that will be covered include:
- Mould Making
- Mixing resins from scratch
- Adding Colour and Tinting
- Designing pieces to make in resin
- Adding insertions such as glitter, feathers, charms, and other objects
- Sanding, polishing and buffing to give a professional finish.
- Making finished pieces of jewellery

Resin is a great way of adding colour to your jewellery work including metal clay pieces, silver, gold and copper pieces as well as just creating solid resin pieces. It is also very popular at the moment, it is basically a type of plastic that is worn in all types of jewellery that you may have seen in fashion and high street shops.

The types of resin we use in this class are non-toxic but if you have allergies or if you are pregnant you will have the option to wear a mask when polishing.

What you need to bring to this class:

For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. However, it is a good idea to think about what you would like to make and bring any ideas you have; pictures, sketches or pieces you like. Don't worry if you don't have a project in mind as we have plenty of inspiration around our workshop too.

General Info:

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.

If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
