Risk Assessments

Synopsis:

All employers have a duty of care towards other employees, and others who may be affected by their activities. A risk assessment is simply an examination of anything that may cause harm to you and others during the course of your work. Employers have a responsibility to ensure that individuals who carry out risk assessments are competent to do so.

This course will provide delegates with an understanding of the meaning of "hazard" and "risk". It will enable the delegate to identify hazards, to understand the principles of hazard/risk analysis and the use of effective control measures.

On successful completion of the training course delegates will be able to contribute to the risk assessment programmes at their work places. Delegates will also be able to implement a risk assessment programme where one has not already been started.
