This extended science course is ideal if you want to study a science degree but your A-levels are in subjects other than science. The course is delivered through lectures, tutorials, workshops and laboratory sessions, and you'll explore topics of current scientific interest and core aspects of studying science, such as laboratory skills and the fundamentals of biology and chemistry.
Studying this one-year science course opens up paths to specialisms such as molecular biology and human nutrition, as well as biomedical, pharmaceutical, forensic and sports science.
The course is offered by one of the university's partner colleges, London South East Colleges, on its Bromley Campus.

About this course
Successful completion of this year will allow you to progress to the Foundation degrees offered at London South East Colleges or one of the science degrees offered by the University of Greenwich.
A minimum of 48 UCAS points
5 GCSEs - grades A*-C/9-4 including English and maths
If you do not have the above UCAS/GCSE requirements but you are a mature student, have appropriate experience, specific knowledge or industry-based qualifications, your application will be welcomed and still considered on case to case basis.
Mature students lacking formal qualifications (or having alternative qualifications) will be judged on merit according to the relevance of their experience and qualifications
