This is an opportunity to step outside the daily grind and take some time to nurture yourself, reconnect with your inner resources and focus on your well-being aspirations. This is a practical and experiential course, and you will spend some time exploring how to reduce tension and stress, cultivate more gratitude, compassion and acceptance and reconnect with yourself and others. At the end of the course there will be time to reflect and build your own individual self-care toolkit.

About this course

¿ Practise some guided mindful movements and mindfulness meditations.
¿ Identify ways to improve quality of sleep and relaxation.
¿ Recognise some of the benefits of practising gratitude, compassion or acceptance.
¿ Create or develop your own self-care toolkit.

There are no examinations, materials or extra costs. Loose and comfortable clothing is the best thing to wear.

This course is practical and experiential and involves guided movements and meditations, short presentations and video clips, interactive games, self observation, inquiry, discussions and small group or pair work. Suggestions for home practice will be given.

Course programme

In this course you will be introduced to some self-care techniques and create your own self-care toolkit that you can
integrate into your daily life. You will explore the benefits of mindful movement, mindfulness meditation, gratitude,
compassion to yourself and others. Discover ways to improve relaxation and quality of sleep. You will also learn about pacing strategies, setting healthy boundaries (resist the perfectionist urge and get better at saying no), the three emotional regulating systems and neuroplasticity.
