Course programme

The Multi-sensory Environment offers a safe, comfortable space for sensory play experiences for children and young people with severe and multiple disabilties. This workshop will be useful for Early Years workers, Play and Youth Workers, Teachers and Support Assistants, Carers or parents who have access to a Multi-sensory facility.

  1. The importance of sensory work in our interactions with children and young people
  2. How to structure the session
  3. How to develop sensory themes and sensory stories
  4. How to develop and use a collection of low-cost sensory materials
