How will I study?

This course provides a thorough foundation in starting your own business, or developing an existing business into new product or service lines if you are new or inexperienced in running a business. Topics include assessing own abilities, sales and marketing, finance, market research, legalities, operational issues, choosing suppliers and business networking. There is also the opportunity to progress onto the University of Chichester ‘Hot House’ programme providing intensive 1:1 support to business start ups at a reduced cost.
How will I be taught?

This is a 32 week course running from Thursday 24 September 2015 - 23 June 2016. The 3 hour lessons are held on Thursday evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. There is a good mix of students from different stages of business start up which provides a lively environment for learning & sharing best practice. This course is taught using a coaching approach with focus on supporting each student progress their business ideas & applying tools & techniques to develop a viable & feasible business idea.
How will I be assessed?

The qualification is 100% assignment based and involves working through a series of workbooks on each of the relevant topics for starting a business. These will be used to create a business plan by the end of the course.
