A Shakespeare Workshop, ideally for those that have some understanding of Shakespeare and performance but want to improve their knowledge and performance technique This is a practical course working towards an optional performance to an invited audience.

About this course
• Understand the beauty of Shakespearian language.• Have practical exercises to take away to support the above• Have confidence in understanding and performing a Shakespearian speech/scene.
Comfortable clothing should be worn.
In pairs, small groups and you will work group and in smaller groups. There will be a requirement to learn text outside of the class.

Shakespeare in context
The beauty of Shakespeare’s language
Verse form including the difference between Verse and Prose and exploration of metrical forms
Fun exercises to support and understand the above
How to break down a scene using beats and actions
Shakespearian Monologues for performance in class- option to perform to invited audience
Shakespearian scenes for performance in class -option to perform to an invited audience
Scenes may be filmed for actor evaluation.
Additional information
Shakespeare: Advanced classes. Any acting class or physical skills class.
