Course content:
This course follows the contents of the MNTB syllabus for Ship Security Officer, in compliance with the introduction of the International Ship & Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code) and SOLAS Amendments 2002.

Entry requirements:
There are no specific pre-requisites for the SSO course but if you're undergoing training you should have sufficient knowledge and practical experience of merchant vessel operations to enable you to achieve the objectives of the training.
You should also be able, if required, to undertake the duties and responsibilities of an SSO on completion of the course.
