Shorthand Beginners (Teeline)

Whether you are a student, a journalist, an employer, a PA/secretary, or simply want to enhance your writing skills, then shorthand is an invaluable skill, and still very much in demand by employers, particularly in the fields of journalism, the NHS, Local Authorities and the like.

We are pleased to be able to offer a beginners' class in shorthand where students will learn "Teeline". Teeline is a modern system of shorthand that is logical and fun to learn, and writers of the system often go on to achieve high speeds.

The course runs for 2 hours per week over a 36 week period, and through tutor demonstration and lots of practical examples, you will learn how to write Teeline and take words down from dictated material, and transcribe those notes back accurately and easily.

At the end of the course, students will come out with an OCR shorthand speed certificate (40-60 words per minute), and following this beginners' course, students could progress to a future course which will help them to increase their shorthand speed even further.
