Who Should Attend

Testing staff who are required to lead testing activities. Ideally delegates will hold a test assistant qualification and have had some workplace experience.

Objectives

· Lead a team in the verification testing of ‘locations’, equipment rooms or control panels to ensure compliance with design

· Lead a team in the verification testing of an SSI ‘location’

· Verify modification to previously tested new equipment

· Lead a testing team in cable testing

• Lead a team in the verification testing of alterations to non-commissioned circuits

Content

· Preparation work to lead a testing team

· Inspection of location or equipment room

· Wire count and continuity testing

· Working railway environment, bus bar testing

· Preparatory testing for controlled changeover

· Modifications to non commissioned circuitry

· Cable testing

· Inspection, wire count and continuity testing of panels

· Straps and false feeds

· Use of SSI test equipment

· Recording of the test results

· Reporting of irregularities found

Learning Approach

Classroom sessions, instructional demonstrations and practical exercises. Individual practical based assessments.

5 days training and 2 assessment days per delegate
