Additional information

We recommend that you repeat Singing for beginners courses for at least three terms, but you can enjoy these classes as often as you wish before moving to a different level. The songs are different each term and this will help you build up a good musical repertoire and grow your confidence. After this you may wish to try Basic technique for singing which introduces some solo singing opportunities. If you do not wish to sing solo, please consider trying one of our choirs. If you need help learning to read music please consider supplementing your singing studies with ‘Musicianship 1: listening and reading, pitch and rhythm’. These musicianship courses are ideally taken in conjunction with a singing / instrumental class and will help you learn much faster. General information and advice on courses at City Lit is available from the Student Centre and Library on Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 19:00. See the course guide for term dates and further details
