Course programme
This course prepares you for further study in the social sciences. You develop your personal and academic abilities while tryingdifferent subjects before choosing your degree. You gain transferable skills by giving presentations, taking part in seminar discussions and writing essays.
You’ll usually be awarded a BA when you graduate, but this may change depending on your degree choice (for example, if you choose Law after your Foundation Year, you’ll be awarded an LLB).
Core modules introduce you to law, politics, sociology and global studies. You also choose an option from:
- film, drama and literature
- psychology, business and economics
- education and social work
- history and languages.
These modules are running in the academic year 2018/19. We also plan to offer them in future academic years. They may become unavailable due to staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum. We’ll make sure to let our applicants know of such changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
