Course programme

Topics: holidays, personal experiences, free time, advice and instructions, past habits, plans for the future.

Grammar: simple past, present perfect and imperfect tenses, present continuous tense, comparatives, object pronouns, the imperative and future tense.

The classes are based on the communicative approach. The emphasis is put on speaking and listening. There will be pair and group work as well as role plays and games. Audio-visual techniques will be included whenever convenient. Grammar will be taught as it appears in the context of these topics. Some homework is normally expected. Please note students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities.

Additional information

Spanish 2 upper: module 1 (if you have completed Spanish 1 rápidamente, Spanish 2, Spanish 1 fast track year 1 or have an equivalent knowledge of the language (two years’ study) in September. Spanish 3 lower: module 1 (if you have completed Spanish 2 upper: module 3 or equivalent) in September.
