Your Course
This course is suitable for those students who have already studied Spanish for about one year. Instruction is given in Spanish using visual and audio supports. The course aims to develop the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish. It enables students to understand native Spanish speakers and will help them in practical conversation. Come and learn Spanish in a fun and relaxed atmosphere through role-play, music and games.
During the course students will take short internal assessments in speaking Spanish at Preliminary level. This will help to prepare them for the OCR Asset language tests that will be taken at the end of the Improvers' year.
'Pasos 1'units 10-12 will be used as a focus. Supplementary material will be provided.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course you will have covered the following main topic areas:
· Comparing types of transport, buying tickets and making enquiries
· Talking about future plans
· Talking about life experiences
· Talking about activities and holidays in the past
· Biographies-describing your life and other people's lives
You will also have revised and covered the following main grammar points:
· The future tense
· Past tenses: the preterite and imperfect
· The perfect tense
· Comparatives and superlatives
· Structure: Ir + a + Infinitive to express future
Your Tutor
Francisco Garcia Fernandez is a native speaker from Granada, Spain. He has a degree in Slavonic Studies, a Masters in Russian Literature and he is finishing an online Masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Further more, he is qualified to assess DELE exams. He has taught Spanish in Russia and Spain and worked as a Russian translator.

Tuition fees: £95
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.

Please note that there are no classes during half term Monday 15th - Friday 19th February 2010 unless otherwise stated.
