Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
We will expect you to show a commitment to developing your knowledge associated with practical performance in sport. Before starting this course, you will be invited to attend for a pre-assessment day which you will need to pass in order to enrol. This will include a foundation English test, practical fitness assessment and an interview with the PE staff.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is done through coursework, portfolios, assignments and examinations. The package offers a well rounded education which offers you an experience of different fields of assessment in preparation for advanced study. The qualification grade will be calculated through the accumulation of assessment criteria throughout the three individual units. Successful students will be awarded with a Pass (equivalent CC), a Merit (equivalent BB) or a Distinction (equivalent AA) at the end of the course.

What can I do afterwards?
This course serves as a good foundation for students wishing to continue onto Level 3 courses. A requirement of a Merit (BB) is needed for this progression.
