The Outdoor industry is a specialist area of the diverse and fast growing Sport industry. This is a challenging career choice requiring instructors to not only be personally competent in a range of outdoor skills but also to have the ability to lead others safely in challenging and often hostile environments. The surge in participation from the 2012 Olympics combined with  the government's 'Health Agenda' and the need to provide meaningful activity for young people means that employment in the outdoor industry will continue to be an exciting and challenging career choice.
