Sport - Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport - NVQ Diplomal (QCF) (Level 3)

The course specifically designed to students with a greater understanding of physical education, the national curriculum and the environment in which they will be operating. Units: Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults Schools as organisations Understand Child and Young Person Development Understand How to Safeguard the Wellbeing of Children and Young People Support assessment for learning Plan a Physical Education and School Sport Programme Deliver a Physical Education and School Sport Programme Review the Delivery of a Physical Education and School Sport Programme Organise and lead a sports event or competition Preparing for the mentoring role Support gifted and talented learners Facilitate community-based sport and physical activity You will develop a wide range of skills that will benefit you in a career in sport coaching. The course runs at out Park Lane Campus. To work with children (under 18) or vulnerable adults students you will need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application. The college will organise this for you, but you will have to pay. The estimated cost of the check is £44. Full details regarding payment and documents required will be provided prior to enrolment. Students who complete this course can apply directly for a job as sports coach with a School, Local Authority or National Governing Body. They can also go onto further training to qualify as a Teaching Assistant or Higher Teaching Assistant. <p>If you are aged 19 or over and considering enrolling on a further education course at Level 3 or above, you may be entitled to an Advanced Learner Loan to help with course fees.</p> <p>You can apply for a loan now for courses starting on or after 1 August 2016, it’s easy to apply online and repayments are simple.
