This six-day course will help you treat sports injuries, understand how to prevent problems and improve oral health and athletic performance.
It will also look at the role that your dental team can play with local sports clubs.
The course, which runs over one week, aims to introduce and discuss:
the topic of sports dentistry
the prevalence and incidence of trauma on the sports field
the endodontic implication of trauma
the repair of fractured incisors
current preventative methods
the role of oral health with elite athletes
facial fractures and TMJ issues
the impact of nutrition on oral health

About this course

At the end of the six days, you should be in a better position to recognise, deal with, prevent and maintain trauma of the dentition.
You will be better able to advise professional and amateur sports clubs on dental issues.

You'll need to hold an approved dental qualification.

You'll earn 39 hours verifiable CPD and a certificate of attendance.
