Street Food from Around the World

This course will teach students the techniques and recipes for authentic dishes that are cooked and served at the roadside around the world. Examples of dishes: South African Bunny Chow Curry (not rabbit); Vietnamese Egg Rolls; Indian Potato Burgers; Mexican Pork Tacos; Spanish Churros with Chocolate Sauce; Jamaican Jerk Chicken; Singapore Noodles; Currywurst; Leberkase (German Sausage) & Potato Salad; Thai Pork Curry; Thai Omelette; Aloo Vada - Indian Potato Burger; Banh Mi - Vietnamese sandwich; Crepes Suzette; Turkish Shish Kebabs; Mexican Quesadilla; Chinese Spring Rolls & Dipping Sauce; Samosas.The tutor will demonstrate how to cook the dishes. A list of ingredients and methods to follow is provided to each student who will then cook the dishes the following week.
