I am a qualified, professional potter who has exhibited widely within the UK; I have been teaching Pottery since 1989. I joined Lewisham Arthouse in 1991, and the development of my work has increased over the years, as I continue to teach in and outside of my studio space with many of my students returning on a regular basis. My qualifications include: * BA (HONS) Art and Design, Grays School of Art, Aberdeen, 1984 * C&G Teachers' Certificate in Further and Adult Education, 1995 * Canterbury Christchurch Certificate in Education, 2000

Course programme

The studio pottery workshop is a comprehensive introduction to pottery making for the complete beginner or can be tailored to suit individual needs from intermediate to advanced and are held all year round. Fees do not include materials, firings or lunch. Depending on prior experience items covered will be a mixture of the following:

  • Throwing
  • Hand Building and Design
  • Sculpture
  • Surface Decoration
  • Glazing Techniques
  • Packing and Firing

These workshops are held each Monday between 7.00pm-9.00pm and Thursday between 6.30pm-8.30pm.
