This one-day workshop provides an understanding of the concepts and techniques that will help supervisors and managers create a more dynamic, loyal and energised workplace. TARGET AUDIENCE Managers and supervisors, present and aspiring, who want to be able to achieve 'buy in' from their staff in order to operate more effectively and create a positive working environment. Maximum class size for Performance Management courses is 10 delegates, which ensures that attendees get adequate time for personal attention from the instructor. At some of our centres, the maximum class size is 12 delegates. If you are coming to our centre, dress code is smart casual.   Refreshments and a free buffet lunch will be provided, but please note that, as a training company who relies on caterers, we are unable to reliably provide for differing dietary requirements, so if you are in any doubt then please bring your own.

Identify how and where fear and desire can act as motivators.

MODULE 6: Setting Goals

Understand how developing plans and setting goals and that are SMART, positive and personal can motivate staff.

MODULE 7: The Role of Values

Learning outcomes:

Be able to identify what values people hold and how they can motivate staff.

MODULE 8: Creating a Motivational Climate

Learning outcomes:

Be able to use behavioural theory, praise and positive feedback and understand how this can impact on the motivational climate in the workplace.

MODULE 9: Expectancy Theory

Learning outcomes:

Understand the concept of expectancy theory and how it impacts on the decisions people will make about how to behave.

Understand and be able to apply the concepts and theories of situational analysis.

Understand how to develop roles that identify characteristics and meet motivational needs.
