Course programme

This course is designed for adults who maybe new to the school environment and/or have had limited responsibilities within a school e.g. parents helpers, midday supervisors. The course provides the underpinning knowledge to work as a Teaching Assistant covering areas such as safeguarding, supporting learning, health and safety etc. You will also gain practical experience with children during your placement.

The courses consists of 10 mandatory plus 2 options, these cover a range of areas of working in a school such as safeguarding, health and safety, communication, behaviour, professional development etc.
