Are you passionate about your vocation and thinking about furthering your career in supporting children to achieve their potential? Then this course is right for you! This is a vocational course requiring a weekly attendance in college. The Level 3 STLS qualification presumes that you support and work with other members of staff, as well as with children, and are able to act independently in your role. It is therefore strongly advised by the awarding body that you are employed in a school or, under exceptional circumstances, this qualification may be achieved if you work on a voluntary placement providing you can meet the course criteria and have the full support of the school. This qualification aims to: Provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding for those directly supporting the teaching and learning of pupils in schools Develop the skills necessary for work as a teaching assistant or similar role Assess competency in the role as teaching assistant in the school workplace environment We have a 98% success rate on this course and excellent feedback from our past students. In fact, many of our past students have gone on to take up posts in a variety of schools ranging from early years to secondary in both mainstream and special provision. While you are on this course you will benefit from supportive and knowledgeable tutors and assessors and by sharing good practice from fellow learners.
