Care, Health and Early Learning - Childcare
Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, CACHE NVQ Level 3(2010/2011)
Study Method:
Students attend College one evening per week (Wednesday 5-8 p.m.) at the Barking Lifelong Learning Centre to gain their underpinning knowledge. An NVQ is gained by a candidate demonstrating to an assessor that they are competent in the work they do and candidates must build a portfolio of evidence.
Duration :1 evening per week over 1 academic year
Who the Course is For:
This programme is designed for students who are working in a school classroom environment, with young people aged between 5 and 16 years who attend compulsory education. It is for people already working in schools, mainly under supervision supporting teaching and learning who wish to take on more responsibility and leadership.
Assessment:
A portfolio of practical observations, written statements and other relevant evidence will be submitted at the end of the programme.
You will be observed by your assessor in your place of work.
Course Leads To:
Students may be able to progress onto a Level 4 Childcare programme or possibly University.
Entry Requirements:
