  • You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.

NVQ level 1 System Support

This can lead to further studies at NVQ Level 2

What will I study?
You will study Unit 111: Fundamentals of Computing Systems and Customer Care; Unit 102: Dismantle, Assemble, install and maintain Desktop Computing Systems.

How will I be taught?
The main part of this course involves practical work. Some units involve setting up individual PCs and networks. Other units focus on finding faults and repairing them. You are expected to access our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) to access some of the learning materials provided for this course.

How will I be assessed?
Each unit is assessed via your assignment by City and Guilds.

What support is available while I am on the course?
Support is offered through the workshop which will back up the theory work each week and will prepare you for the assessments.
