You will learn a sequence of movements from the Yang style T'ai Chi form and exercises that will energise your
body and calm your mind. You will also learn how to apply this knowledge in practical daily use.

About this course
- Perform movements of the T'ai Chi Yang style form to a basic level
- (For students with previous experience- show improvement in form}
- Demonstrate improved co-ordination and balance
- Perform warm-up exrcises and some Chi Kung movements
- Experience a more relaxed state of mind and body.

T'ai Chi form, T'ai chi exercises, warm-up exercises, some chi kung, meditation and philosophy.
Demonstrations, verbal direction and explanation, physical correction, group and individual practise. You should wear loose comfortable clothing. Certain books and videos will be recommended. Continue next term and/or Chi Kung and relaxation. General information and advice on courses at City Lit is available from the Student Centre and Library on Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 19:00.
