Course summary:
This course provides learners with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills and experience various aspects of an industry in which they have a desire to work in or further their studies in. An excellent foundation from which to build a career on!

Course content:

ASDAN Award of Personal Effectiveness

• Working as Part of a Group
• Working Towards Goals
• Developing Self
• Preparing for and Giving a Presentation

Units may vary according to individual needs. Other elements of the course could well include work on Key Skills (depending upon previous academic results).

Wider Key Skill " Improving own Learning and Performance

• Confirm targets and plan how to meet these
• Follow your plan to help meet the targets and improve your performance
• Review your progress and achievements

Course structure:
Learners will attend college for two days per week, a Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday will be the -

Core Day working on the ASDAN Award and Wednesday will be the -

Options Day gaining an insight into specific areas of industry.

Assessment procedure:
A variety of assessment procedures will be operating, predominantly through portfolio building.
