Course Outline

A highly effective course for all self shooters working on tapeless cameras – comprehensively covering file management as well as camera operation.
Ideal for AP’s, researchers, filmmakers, producer/directors, journalists and anyone else who needs to collect good quality material and cover action effectively to ensure it cuts into sequences when edited. Participants choose between using the Sony EX1, EX3 or Z7. Participants are welcome to bring their own cameras if requested. The course demystifies formats such as XDCAM and HDV, and provides the skills for capturing broadcast quality images together with good quality sound. Through a mixture of theory and practical exercises, participants learn how to control the image to obtain optimal professional results. Exercises shot during the course will be cut together, demonstrating the importance of keeping the edit in mind before and during filming.
