History

Tropical Coast Languages is devoted to the Teaching of Spanish as a foreign language since 1992. Since then, thousands of people from all around the world have been studying with us. The school is open throughout the year and has a wide range of Spanish Courses designed to meet the different learning profiles of all ages and walks of life. We also train future teachers of Spanish as a foreign language.To enhance the learning experience we offer a daily programme of recreational and cultural activities. We also arrange accommodation and airport pick-up if you required them.All of this, together with the reduced number of students per class (8, except in summertime that is 10), guarantee a friendly, reliable and personalised service.

Tropical Coast Languages is an Accredited Teaching Centre by Instituto Cervantes and we comply with the CEN regulations (Comité Européen de Normalisation) concerning language study travel.Our Spanish language course programmes are organized according to the Instituto Cervantes Syllabus and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Council of Europe) levels and competences. This, together with the friendly, reliable and personalised service we offer make our school a quality language school and a great place to learn Spanish.

Areas of specialisation

Our school is specialised in Spanish for foreigners. We offer Intensive and non-intensive Spanish courses for all ages more focused on the language itself, but also Intensive courses specialised, such as: Courses for non-native teachers of Spanish as a foreign language; Courses on Hispanic Studies (Literature, History and Culture from Spain and Latinoamerica); Spanish Courses for Specific Purposes (commercial, medical and tourism Spanish); or Preparatory courses for Diploma de Español como lengua Extranjera (DELE). In these more than 15 years experience devoted to the Spanish as a foreign language and realising the lack of teacher in this field make us create our own Teacher Training course for native Spanish people we update and modify according to the market needs.

Description

Tropical Coast Languages is a centre specialized in the Teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and also in E/LE Teacher training. It is situated in the heart of Almuñécar’s old town, on the beautiful and unique Tropical Coast of Granada, in a pedestrian precinct and commercial area full of shops, restaurants and bars and only a minute’s walk from the beach and the Paseo del Altillo.The school is an Instituto Cervantes accredited Teaching Centre and has five classrooms fully-equipped for the study of Spanish with TV, video, DVD and all the necessary audio and CD equipment. It is open all year round and our intensive Spanish courses can start on any Monday, except for the courses for E/LE teachers and teenagers.
