What you will learn
On the course you will develop the skills enabling you to carry out rigorous academic investigation in the field of technical and vocational education and also apply your knowledge and understanding in your workplace, enabling you to address areas of concern and any development needs in an informed and justifiable manner.
You will develop an understanding of broader themes such as management and organisation in an education context and issues related to curriculum development and design in addition to specific areas of technical and vocational education.
You will learn to evaluate, review and reflect upon your assignment/project work, and identify those areas requiring further development via action planning and target setting as part of the process of personal development planning (PDP).
In addition to your subject specific knowledge and understanding you will develop your career-enhancing skills including interpersonal skills, research, oral and written presentations, independent working, and time and project management skills.
What you will study
To obtain the MEd Technical and Vocational Education, you will undertake three core modules, three option modules and a dissertation.
Dissertation (60 credits)
You must undertake a dissertation in a subject consistent with technical and vocational education.
