The textile industry deals with transforming raw materials (natural, artificial or synthetic fibers) into yarns, first and then fabrics, fabrics that are collected in reels and then sold. The raw material that reaches the textile industry is collected, instead, in large bales which are opened and then processed in the factory. The textile industry is a manufacturing activity that produces and processes textile fibers, whose origin is very ancient, as it derives from man's need to shelter from the cold and bad weather, using materials other than tanned leathers. The first production of fabrics dates back to the Neolithic, vegetable fibers (linen) were used. According to some, the prehistoric primacy of linen contradicts the previous hypothesis that "weaving derives from the need for collected in a bundle of fibers joined together and wound on a support.
