Course programme

What will I learn?

You will learn: basic airbrush skills; media make-up; fashion make-up; photographic make-up; face and body art; how to apply basic prosthetics; creative hair styling; facial hair and wig application; client care; and health & safety

How will I be assessed?

You will be continually assessed throughout the course and will complete practical assessments on paying clients and written assignments and tests You will create a portfolio of evidence to display your achievements

What may it lead to?

This course can lead to employment in salons as a makeover demonstrator, in TV or film as a trainee make-up artist, consultancy work for a make-up retailer, or self-employment as a make-up artist

Entry Requirements

You must have a Level 2 qualification in Hair, Beauty or Hair & Media Makeup A real passion for make-up is a must You need to be adaptable, work well with people, have good manual dexterity, and possess good design and presentation skills

Additional Information & Other Costs

You will need to purchase of a make-up and hair kit, and a uniform Appropriate footwear is also required Full details will be given at the interview stage
