We will cover the basics of jewellery making over one intensive weekend. It is a good way of finding out if jewellery
making is for you before embarking on longer or more advanced courses. There will be set projects as well as a
chance to stamp your own creativity on each piece. You will come away with two finished pieces of jewellery.

About this course

- Use a jeweller’s piercing saw to cut metal shapes
- File, sand & polish metal
- Create textures using hammers, punches & a rolling mill
- Make a pierced pendant & a silver ring band
- Work safely in a jewellery workshop.

Teaching will be in a group with demonstrations from the tutor. There will also be plenty of 1:1 assistance and guidance. Equipment and materials, including base metals and silver for the ring are supplied.
