Discovering your TV presenting potential.
Practical sets of exercises will be recorded on camera and played back with individual and generic helpful comments.
The TV studio is multi-camera solid state (tapeless). If you would like unedited recordings of your work bring a 10-15GB usb stick or hard drive that is Mac compatible. Reading So You Want to be a TV Presenter outside of class will be very helpful (see below).

As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

Course programme

Overcoming nerves, presenting to camera, reading Autocue, writing and memorising short scripts, hosting an interview, being a guest interviewee, talking to time, breaking in to the industry.

Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.

Please note: this course is non-transferable or refundable. Please bring a notepad and pen or tablet on which you can write notes. If you would like unedited recordings of your work bring a 10-15GB usb stick or hard drive that is Mac compatible, not DVD. Recommended reading: So You Want to be a TV Presenter? By Kathryn Wolfe, published by Nick Hern Books 2010, and The TV Presenter's Career Handbook, by Kathryn Wolfe, published by Focal Press 2015. Ple.
