2. Course description This course will offer you an engaging and effective introduction to Psychology. You will get an understanding of why people behave the way they do and the differences in human behaviour. You will develop your knowledge of how our memory works (cognitive psychology), and how our childhood attachments influence our future behaviour (developmental psychology), how society has an impact on us (social psychology) and how brain mechanisms can determine your thoughts and behaviour (biopsychology). You will also develop an understanding of psychopathology by exploring mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, OCD and phobias.
