Course programme

The course aims to enable understudies to:
  • Pick up skills that can be applied to any graphic design job and learn to apply those skills in real-time scenarios to build your confidence and proficiency.
  • Explore the major functions and features of Illustrator, including how to create objects, apply gradients, colours and patterns and master the various tools which can affect the graphic effects and appearance of your designs.
  • Learn how to make composite images with Photoshop, including the creation of various layers and designs.
  • Learn how to make corrections to photographs and explore the tools that help you to draw and paint using the application.
  • Get to grips with the InDesign interface, learn how to create templates and documents in order to design graphic-rich media including brochures, flyers, posters, magazines, newspapers and books.
  • Understand the principles of Fireworks CS6, including working with bitmaps, vector shapes, layers and pages.
  • Explore the use of Fireworks by web designers to rapidly produce website prototypes and application interfaces.
