Understanding Nutrition and Health NCFE Certificate Level 2

Once enrolled, you will receive a learning resource/information pack which includes two parts: Part A Unit 1: Explore the Principles of Healthy Eating Diet and Health Components of a Healthy Diet Nutrients and Their Role in Maintaining Health Healthy Food Preparation Food Safety Awareness Personal Hygiene and Cleaning. Part B Unit 2: Consider Nutritional Needs of a Variety of Individuals Know the Nutritional Needs of Children, Young People and Older People Understand Special Dietary Requirements Understand Barriers to Healthy Eating. Unit 3: Use Food and Nutrition Information to Plan a Healthy Diet Understand Food Labelling Understand Food Additives Apply Principles of Healthy Eating. Part C Unit 4: The Principles of Weight Management The Risks Associated With Bad Weight Management Body Image Planning a Short Term Weight management Programme. Unit 5: Understanding Eating Disorders Connections Between Food and Feelings Accessing Support. Our highly qualified tutors are available to support you throughout your programme of study with robust feedback, advice and guidance. You will receive your own learning pack which includes learning resources/information booklets and paper-based assessments; one for each part. You must complete all assessments in the agreed timescales and submit these for marking by our team of qualified tutors. Your tutor will then provide feedback, advice and guidance to help you successfully complete the course. Upon successful completion of two assessments, you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Nutrition and Health.
