The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to be able to: identify the position and names of the bones. decipher medical terms associated with orthopaedics. explain the differences between types of fractures and how they are treated. describe the most common spinal deformities, their causes and treatment. state what common spinal injuries are, and the options for their treatment. explain how arthroscopy can be used as a diagnostic or therapeutic tool. demonstrate a knowledge of the types of hip replacement and why they become necessary. Suitable for: This course is ideally suited to both new and experienced non-clinical staff who come into regular contact with orthopaedic patients or orthopaedic reports.
