Course programme
The course will comply with the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 so that candidates will be able to:
- interpret risk assessments
- plan to enter structures with irrespirable atmospheres
- prepare breathing apparatus for use, observing duration indicators and user checks
- put on and wear breathing apparatus correctly, observing all fitting and performance checks
- work safely whilst wearing the apparatus
- conduct and maintain safety by carrying out continual risk assessments during work
- undertake all user tests and hygiene procedures on breathing apparatus on completion of the work
