Background to the UniversityThe University of Ulster was founded in 1984 by Royal Charter as a result of a petition from The New University of Ulster and the Ulster Polytechnic. The University is based on four campuses, at Belfast, Coleraine, Jordanstown, and Magee, Londonderry. What I would highlight: It is really expensive ! I've paid 300? a month only on busses. Supermarkt are expensive as well. And something like 7? a beer in a bar. The teaching methods were really different from Belgium.

What I would highlight: nlike many other study abroad experiences, HECUA allows you to intern at a community peace-building organization. I got the unique opportunity to intern at a truth recovery/human rights legal NGO, which solidified my interest in human rights law for the future.
