University teacher course

The university professor is a specialized professor and super expert on the subject he teaches at the university. He has the duty to carry out at least 70 hours of lessons and in all, among the various administrative or didactic commitments, 350 hours of work. He spends these hours carrying out these different tasks: developing a study program, giving lessons, carrying out exams and research activities, providing teaching material. The university professor is a lecturer who conducts research and teaching in the field of academic education. He studies and teaches the subject in which he is an expert - whether in the humanities, scientific, health or social sciences areas - he participates in research projects and shares the results with the scientific community. As for teaching, at the beginning of the academic year, of the semester or quarter, the university professor defines the contents and the program of the course and plans the calendar of lessons and any exercises to be carried out in the classroom or in the laboratory (for example if he teaches science subjects). He prepares the lessons and writes the in-depth material that the students will use to study and prepare for the exams: course slides, handouts, photocopies, publications and textbooks and bibliographic suggestions. During the lessons, the university professor exposes the concepts in a clear and understandable way, trying to keep alive the attention and interest of his students and answers questions and observations with competence and professionalism.
