Course Content: This course is your first step to become a qualified Paint Sprayer in the Motor Vehicle industry. The course contains theory and practical work with practical assessments taking place in the workshop.

The course covers:

· Health and safety

· Painting equipment and materials

· Preparing surfaces for repainting

· Applying base coat and primer

· Spraying techniques

· Applying basic top coat

· Tools and equipment

The Technical Award covers the criteria for phase one of the Modern Apprenticeship Framework for vehicle refinishing, therefore it is an ideal programme for students wishing to progress to employment and follow a Modern Apprenticeship.

Students are required to purchase their own tools; this is arranged with the tutor within the first four weeks of the course

Special Features: You will have the advantage of working with and learning from a standard of equipment that mirrors the Motor Vehicle industry.

Course Format: 2.5 days per week
