This course gives students who have already achieved the Entry Level 3 Certificate an opportunity to experience a variety of vocational (work-related) subjects in a supported environment

Students tailor-make their own study programme, choosing from: hospitality, business, construction, art, media, photography, drama, animal care, horticulture, hairdressing, sport or care It enables those with Special Educational Needs to make a more informed choice about their future, whether it is in education or employment They will also develop their English and maths skills, and take part in a one-day work placement
How will I be assessed?Through a program of observations, a small portfolio of assignments and functional skill tests
What may it lead to?You could move onto the second year of the vocational course in order to achieve the diploma, find (paid or supported) employment, or get an Apprenticeship
Entry RequirementsThere are no formal entry requirements However, you will be assessed to identify your individual support needs (during your transition to College)
Work ExperienceThere is a work experience placement officer who will help you find a suitable work placement in your local area
Additional Information & Other CostsThis course is normally free for students under 19 years old and may also be free for those in receipt of government benefits
