Study Method:
This programme will consist of 6 different modules incorporating practical and theory sessions:
Manicure/Pedicure
Eye Treatments
Facials
Waxing
Cosmetic Training
Cosmetics
The practical and theory sessions will be timetabled on alternative weeks and will include formative and summative assessments.
Duration :one day per week, 10-4, 36 weeks (two intakes per year : September/January
Who the Course is For:
For people who ultimately want a professional qualification that will enable them to gain employment in a salon or to set up independently.
Assessment:
An assessed (timed) treatment will need to be successfully achieved plus a written theory test for all modules in order to gain the certificate.

Entry Requirements:
No formal entry requirements, however a good level of written English is necessary. You will be required to attend a formal interview prior to being offered a place.
Content:
Manicure/Pedicure: Practical sessions include nail/cuticle work, massage and nail painting.
Eye Treatments: Practical sessions incldude eyebrow/eyelash perming and eyebrow shaping.
Facials: Practical sessions include providing a full cleans/tone/exfoliation/moisture and facemask. Head and shoulder massage.
Theory sessions for the above will include bone and muscle structure, skin types/colours/ learning about products, hair growth and health & safety.
Waxing: Practical sessions include waxing 6 different areas of the body using warm and hot wax.
Cosmetic Tanning: Practical sessions include providing a full body exfoliation and cosmetic cream tan application.
Cosmetics: Practical sessions include provide client with cleanse and tone, day and night make up, application of individual semi-permanent eyelashes.
