2. Course description The course will establish a range of basic methods of watercolour painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation. You will learn to distinguish the use of tone, colour, composition and perspective; gain confidence in using materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussions Have access to one to one support The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques.

3. Entry requirements Beginners and for those with some experience who may need a refresher.We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Surrey Adult Learning values and supports equality and diversity by promoting fairness and respect at all times. 4. Equipment required Please bring whatever watercolour materials you may already have purchased, or a pad of A4 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (HB, 2B, 4B), soft rubber and sharpener for the first session. Materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction. 5. Assessment method Not available
