Schedule for day will be as follows:
- Course Introduction, protocols
- Pre-course knowledge assessment (Multiple choice)
- Product information on Instructor packs to be provided by Height & Safety Ltd
- Discussion on micro-teach presentations Micro Teach workshop (Including Lunch Break)
- All delegates to present an element of a work at height course (Choose one from below) 1. RIDDOR, PUWER & LOLER (In relation to Work at Height)
2. Ladder & Step Positioning
3. Standards & Conformity, what do they mean? Quote and demonstrate some common standards such as (BSEN 1004, 161, 131)etc.
4. Low Level Access Equipment (Types and uses)
5. High Level Access Equipment (Types and uses)
6. Harness Types and uses
7. Rooftop Work rules to follow
8. Appropriate Equipment (What makes it appropriate?) and examples
9. Emergency planning (with examples) 20(25 max) minute micro-teach to be planned using lesson plan (Example attached) using PowerPoint, flip-chart, Video, White-board, Hand outs as required. Brief introductions only and recap sessions of no longer than 15% of micro-teach.
For those of you who do not have a teaching qualification, this course can be incorporated into a 5 day course, at an additional cost of £400.
