Your Course
This 10 week course will suit those who have no previous knowledge of Russian. The course covers the basic language needed for everyday situations as well as business situations, and aims to develop three language skills (listening, speaking and reading). The emphasis will be on real-life dialogues supported and reinforced by analysis of grammar structures and practical usage of them. In the speaking part of the course, students will learn the necessary language for communication in airports, shops, restaurants, hotels and when asking for directions.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the 10 week course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Greet people and introduce yourself
· Learn about the Russian name system
· Read short texts
· Say where you live, ask for/give directions, read Russian addresses
· Say what is your profession and where you work
· Ask for/give permission
· Compose a simple email/short letter
· Speak on the telephone to arrange a meeting
· Request and give information in shops and restaurants
· Book a room in a hotel
· Learn basic grammar: nouns gender, singular and plural, cases, verbs conjugations, present and past tense, modal verbs, adjectives, simple adverbs, telling the time and the numbers 1-100
Your Tutor
Anna Nerukh graduated from Kharkov State Polytechnic University, Ukraine. She is a native Russian speaker with work experience in USA and UK. She teaches Russian at King's School in Ely and Cambridge Russian School for Children. She has experience in translating scientific papers including books and teaching and taking examinations in the Russian language at GCSE and A level.

Tuition fees: £99
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
