The little that we see of the developing world through the media is distorted and simplifed. Life in developing countries is not just about disasters, famines and earthquakes. There is very little discussion about the root causes of poverty and inequality. This course gives students the opportunity to investigate these issues and develop a better understanding of our increasingly interdependent world. Students will also learn that decisions made here have an impact on the lives of people all over the world
